Initial Evaluation

At this initial stage, I take the time to understand your business and goals. Before jumping into any paid search campaigns or strategy planning, it’s best to understand both the business and how paid search will help your goals.

Account Review

I will ask for READ ONLY access to your Google or Microsoft account. This will allow for a thorough audit to be performed.  In this audit, I will review ads, keyword strategies, account assets, bid strategies, optimization opportunities & more. 

Research

I will conduct competitor analysis, topic & keyword research, and begin ad creative. Having your input on key competitors, market or industry trends, and key areas of opportunities will help drive the initial strategy and planning.

Account Setup (If New Account)

At this stage, it is time to set up the campaigns based on research and goals. I will do the heavy lifting in this process, but it is important that YOU OWN THE ACCOUNT and its data. I will simply be added to the account as a manager and I will proceed with setting up the campaign(s).

Account Optimization

Once my initial audit is complete, I will provide you with a detailed report and action plan based on my findings including timeframe estimates, recommended changes and their impact, and more. 

Reporting

Within both Google Ads and Bing Ads , it’s critical to have accurate reporting in order to measure the success of the campaigns. I provide a monthly report along with frequent meetings as needed.

Keyword Research

Keyword research is the foundation of paid search campaigns. It is critical to make sure that your ads are only showing up and getting clicked on by the right audience with the right intent that will have a much higher chance of converting a visitor into a client.

For example, the search term “types of mortgages” as opposed to “FHA mortgage broker” has less intent. The former keyword would be triggered by anybody who is just interested in finding out about mortgage types where as the second shows direct buying or commercial intent.

Negative Keywords

On the other side of the keyword coin, negative keywords are key to getting the correct intent. Negative keywords are keywords or search terms that you do NOT want your ads to show up for. For example, if you are a service business, you do not want your ad to show up for things such as “DIY” or “how do I”. Negative keywords would block these irrelevant searches from displaying your ad.

Just like typical keyword research, negative keyword research helps improve your conversion rates and allows you get get more out of your campaign and budget.

This is one of the areas in a campaign where money and potential leads can be lost.

Audience Targeting
